With over 25 years of experience in K–12 education,
Dr. José Celis is a dedicated educator and leader who believes
that schools thrive when families, educators, students, and community members work in partnership.
Before joining Manville, he led transformational work in
schools across New Jersey and Illinois, most recently as
principal of Passaic High School, where he helped improve graduation rates, reduce suspensions, and expand college and career opportunities.
At Manville High School, Dr. Celis is committed to fostering open communication with families, building strong community partnerships, and driving innovative programs that support student success and well-being.
Vice Principal- Mr. Stephen Venuto
Mr. Venuto graduated from Middlesex High School, Middlesex, New Jersey 1986. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education-Heath ( K-12) and certification in Driver Education from Trenton State College in 1991. Mr. Venuto also received an M.Ed. in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University and New Jersey Principal Certification in 2010.
Mr. Venuto is completing his thirty-second (32nd) year at Manville High School. Mr. Venuto is currently Vice Principal at Manville High School. Mr. Venuto has taught Health and Physical Education and Driver Education.
Lastly, Mr. Venuto has been a head coach in Football and baseball and an assistant coach in Wrestling and Girl's Softball.
He and his wife, Marisa, are residents of Bridgewater Township and have two children, Grace and Ava.
